It’s all in the title- did you practice the kiss before the big day?
Feel free to share WHY or WHY NOT- and throw out any tips you want to pass along to not have an awkward kiss in front of everyone.
I will say thankfully FI and kiss very well- so I don’t anticipate anything awkward, I think it will be the anticipation that we are on stage and everyone’s watching…..

It didn’t even occur to us to practice our kiss. Nothing wrong with practicing though.

we practiced mostly just for fun. but i wanted to make sure we were on the same page as to what kind of kiss we would have (no chicken pecking and no tongue) and to make sure we kissed long enough for our photographer to capture it. smooch-hold-release, haha.

@MrsEME: Lol yes. As I didn’t want us to look silly, so we made sure we both knew which sides to tilt our heads and how strong or not to make the kiss.

@MrsEME: No. I just told him I’d like him to be romantic. Rather than place his hands on my hips and be all romantic, he threw his arms around my shoulders and kissed me. It was rather uncomfortable because he was pulling my veil (which is turn pulled my hair) but oh well, lol. It was funny and I got plenty more romantic kisses to make up for it.

We didn’t, but I did ask him one time if we were just going to kiss like a long “peck” or multiple “pecks” and he told me just one longish one. During our actual kiss during the ceremony, DH dipped me, which I was totally not expecting and when we came up, I pushed him a little and called him a turd. LOL
I guess it was better this way because if we had planned that, I’d be really tense and I’m sure you’d be able to tell in pictures.

I wish we had. Husband decided to go LEFT. Of all days to go LEFT! We ended up nosing in the middle THEN GOING FUCKING LEFT! He thinks it looks cute in the video and I am still confused as to why the curveball on the big day.

It didn’t occur to us to practice, either.

Ha, we totally did even though my husband thought it was silly. But in the actual ceremony, he threw a curveball and lifted me up while we were kissing. So cute!

I said yes, but we really didn’t. A few days before the wedding we were brushing our teeth in the bathroom and I was like so are we supposed to practice the kiss? Awkwardly we kissed and were like yeah lets just wing it lol winging it was better, i even got a little dip too 😉 My mom even said to us after “wow, what a kiss at the end!!!”

We practiced. We wanted to make sure our arms were in places that didn’t cover our faces and that it would look good in a picture. We also made sure we were on the same page about which way to turn our heads and how long the kiss would be. We got some awesome pictures of it, too, so I think it paid off!

Yes I will practice ! ‘The’ kiss for aesthetic/picture purposes, and many kisses, because I want to test my lipstick and make sure it doesn’t stain my SO’s mouth and face, since I expect people will want to see us kiss at dinner, hahaha !

We didn’t even think about it, we just kissed, it wasn’t awkward at all, because that is what we already do naturally!

We aren’t even engaged, but my SO has gotten us to practice a couple times. He says something like “imagine we are kissing on our wedding day.” Lol. That being said, we will probably practice the kiss
