Great topic !  ๐Ÿ™‚  Yes, I too have a dress on it’s way that I could only sorta kinda try on.  In fact a friend of mine that was shopping with me is tiny – size 6 maybe ? and the sample couldn’t even be zipped up on her !  Still though everyone agreed it was MY dress and the salon owner pinky-swore with me that it will be gorgeous on me.  I have until September before it arrives and trust me, I’m nervous.  But I’ve always been one to take leaps of faith and this was one of those times ! ๐Ÿ™‚  Sometimes, you just have to !  lol

Good luck! I hope you post pictures! So many lovely brides in this thread… It makes me feel more hopeful about possibly ordering a dress without trying it on.

Just wanted to add that I bought my gown without trying it on.  I was able to see it, and knew which components on the dress I wanted from trying on so many other gowns (a-line, asymmetrical rouching, sweetheart, embroidery and beading).

I took my chances and ordered  Maggie Sottero Dress “Fiorella” without trying it on.  I pretty much have a good vision of what I look good in and took my changes.  She just came in this past Tuesday and I LOVE IT!!!!!!  Its exactly what I expected.  I ordered a size 20 because of my hips but at this point with exercise and using this weightloss progam I’m down to a “18” and still losing!!  I say you know your body type and what you look good in just go for it!!! (if you are not sure just try on another dress that is similar to the fit).

I ordered my Justin Alexander completely sight unseen. All I’d ever seen are pictures on the internet. I wasn’t even able to try on any other Justin Alexanders to get an idea of the fit.

While I don’t LOVE the way it looks now that it’s in, I realize that it’s got WAY more to do with the fact that I don’t like the way that I look right now…and the fact that it’s too small now, and won’t zip. ๐Ÿ™ Good thing I will have plenty of time to lose the weight.

Oooh I can’t wait to see it… I am doing something similar… I have tried on a few dresses but nothing has the wow factor as some I have seen online so I am just gonna hope for the best… Luckily my other half reckons I’d look good in a sack… You know what they say about love being blind hehehe

I bought my dress without trying it on last weekend. They had it as a sample up here that was several sizes too small and wouldn’t fit over my bust so all they could do was hold it up. There was one dress in my size in Philadelphia so I drove the eight hours overnight so I could go check it out–the catch was in order for them to hold it, I had to pay for it in advance. I think you’ll definitely know when it’s the one. I haven’t had a chance to upload the pictures yet, but here it is on the model.
