Hi girl’s i’m getting married Oct 3 …..59 days away eeeekkk!!! Some of my friend’s who have recently gotten married told me they placed fake rings on their pillow rather than having their ring bearer possibly loose the real rings. I’ve tried to look online for some but I find some that look extremely cheap, do you think this will show in pictures if I use fake rings. My wedding band is going to have to be custom made and sautered onto my e ring so it will need to come all the way off and placed back on for wedding ceremony.
What did you do?

We didn’t even give our RB a ring pillow (I don’t like them, and at the last wedding our nephew was in he ended up whipping it around his head like a lasso), but I have seen photos of tons of weddings where they used fakes. No one will get close enough to the ring pillow to even notice anything other than something shinny on it unless your Aisle is REALLY tiny. This includes your photographer.

We used the real rings, but our ringbearer was 9 so he understood that they were valuable and wouldn’t lose them. If the ring bearer is a toddler, I wouldn’t trust them not to lose (or even eat!) them.

We are using fake rings on the ring pillow as well just in case something happens. The Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man are hanging on to our real rings. I am just going to the dollar store and picking our cheap plain rings to attach to it. I don’t think the photographers are taking pictures of the ring pillow anyway since they are going to be taking profressional shots of the rings way before hand when everyone is getting ready.
It’s a normal thing for people to do this. No one will really care. It’s just something for the ring bearer to walk down the aisle with and also for the sake that we have such a cute kid to be our ring bearer.

If the ring bearer is very young, you could tie your real rings to it with a ribbon. They won’t fall off that way and it would make for a cute moment/picture for each of you to grab one end of the bow to untie it and get them.

We just had him carry a pillow with no rings at all. He looked adorable and I really doubt anyone noticed.

Hey Girls thanks for all your help! I actually found some old costume jewlry last night!
I had a fake gold band, and a rhinestone plain band that I may tie on there or just not put them at all like lolot mentioned
:)) Your right my photographer always takes the professional ring pictures before.

Our ring bearer was 4, and I had absolutely no problem letting him walk with our real rings on the pillow.
That said, our pillow had attached ribbons, and the rings were tied to the pillow.

Fake rings all the way – our Ring bearer was 5 – and if I’ve managed to loose my engagement ring a few times (found it after 3 days of going nuts in the hamper) – he could have as well.
