I just got my cake toppers from a maker on etsy. Now Im wondering if when I make my final deposit on the cake, I should give them the cake toppers?? I guess Im a little protective of them at the moment. lol
Either give it to them to put on the cake. Our best man will be picking the cake up the morning of the wedding.
Or give the cake topper to our best man and have him put them on the cake after he delivers it to the hall?
I guess Im afraid of something happening to the cake toppers while at the bakery.
So, what did you do?? WHat will you do?? Am I being too protective of them? 🙂

I actually shipped mine to the bakery a week in advance. I was worried a little bit, too, since it was porcelain and I’m in LOVE with it. But it worked out fine and showed up on the day in its proper place. You might want to call the bakery and ask if they typically hold onto cake toppers for customers or if they would prefer not to. Maybe the best man could take it to the bakery on the day of and someone there could put it on at the last second? At least on our cake there were flowers piped all around the base of the topper so we really couldn’t have put it on ourselves after the fact, it was sort of a part of the design.
