This lady clearly has a screw loose. I will say as a child of divorce the worst thing in the entire process you can do to harm your child is talk smack about the parent or the other half of that parent. It’s so confusing as a kid and makes growing up ten times harder.

My step mom is so pissed my dad divorced her she stole $110,000 from him and she has started referring to my dad as Dick (my dads name is Richard.) She finds this hilarious. She was also dating a reverend with a sex addiction while he was still married to his wife and they had 3 kids. Don’t worry. There are crazier people out there.

@SoontobeMrsA: Acting like she doesn’t know who you are is the BIGGEST insult. “Oh who’s that?” uh uh bitch. Also–she begged him not to leave, and then filed for divorce!? That’s low. Sounds like she wanted it to end, but wanted to do it her way.

I was just coming to post something similar and this was at the top of the list.  I hate we put up with this, but it’s nice to know I’m not in the boat alone.  There’s a 21 year age difference between me and my Fiance.  We knew we wanted to marry each other only 3 months into our relationship.  We were both unhappy for a very long time in our previous marriages.  The sad thing is, I’m being harassed by his ex-stepdaughter, who I think is certifiably CRAZY.  At first I was a mid-life crisis, then I was someone who “preyed on him in his vulnerable state”, now I’m a pig with a bad haircut because she doesn’t have anything else to come up with.

Oh, I read your post to the FH and asked how you knew our life. I was exactly in your shoes a year ago, it totally sucks. I was also the mid life crisis, even though my FH and I are the same age, not near mid life, and she was the older one. Jealous people making jealous comments. But I did like what a pp said about being the porche, man I would have liked the opportunity to have used that just once.

If you ever need to vent and don’t want it out there, just PM me, I have totally been there.

Sometimes I feel like people will grow out of their jealousy and immaturity, but they never do.
