@SoontobeMrsA: Acting like she doesn’t know who you are is the BIGGEST insult. “Oh who’s that?” uh uh bitch. Also–she begged him not to leave, and then filed for divorce!? That’s low. Sounds like she wanted it to end, but wanted to do it her way.

I was just coming to post something similar and this was at the top of the list.  I hate we put up with this, but it’s nice to know I’m not in the boat alone.  There’s a 21 year age difference between me and my Fiance.  We knew we wanted to marry each other only 3 months into our relationship.  We were both unhappy for a very long time in our previous marriages.  The sad thing is, I’m being harassed by his ex-stepdaughter, who I think is certifiably CRAZY.  At first I was a mid-life crisis, then I was someone who “preyed on him in his vulnerable state”, now I’m a pig with a bad haircut because she doesn’t have anything else to come up with.

Oh, I read your post to the FH and asked how you knew our life. I was exactly in your shoes a year ago, it totally sucks. I was also the mid life crisis, even though my FH and I are the same age, not near mid life, and she was the older one. Jealous people making jealous comments. But I did like what a pp said about being the porche, man I would have liked the opportunity to have used that just once.

If you ever need to vent and don’t want it out there, just PM me, I have totally been there.

Ah, jealousy. It is an ugly pathetic thing.

Sometimes I feel like people will grow out of their jealousy and immaturity, but they never do.

wow, her comment just reveals her own insecurity, nothing to do with you (of course you know that though!).  had you been the same age as her, she would have come up with something else to make herself feel better.  so sad.

Don’t worry about her. Not everyone is kind when they need to be and you have to just focus on an amazing day ahead.
