Definitely ligers. I mean, seriously, cockatoos are so 1993.

Of COURSE I registered for the pair of cockatoos, right after the towels and linens and Kitchenaid stand mixer. What am I, crazy? You have to build your household with necessities!

@meliss: LOL!!! Well I got one, but the other’s stripes don’t match it perfectly and the tone was a touch off, so I sent it back for a replacement. sigh

@bakerella: my ligers ate the cockatoos, so I sold ’em to a zoo before I decided to use the new elephant gun that I also registered for on ’em out of rage.

I like how the article says that not registering for gifts “sets them apart from other soon-to-be newlyweds”…. Yes, because in every other respect they are just like everyone else! lol

I actually know of someone who got a dog as a wedding gift. My neighbor a few years ago was a K9 police officer who bred his German Shepherd. Those things are expensive!

Anyway, our apartment doesn’t allow most animals so we’re sticking with our albino piranhas.

@stillme: lol, that’s what I thought too. They’re so average in every other respect and giving to charity is so great of them when they’ll probably be living in a generations old castle with servants.

Oh thank you for this post.  I just busted out laughing at my desk and the rest of my office is looking at me like I’m crazy 🙂
