Yes, I did. I’m a bit of a control freak so he let me choose the stone and the setting. I tried it on when it arrived but then he hid it and I must say the actual proposal was a total surprise! He did very well! 🙂

Help a guy out! We picked mine out together. Initially he showed me a ring that was not my taste and he knew it. So after that, shopping we went! Had I not participated in the process, he would never in a million years picked the ring that I ended up getting. His initial pick was a thick, plain yellow gold band with a 1 carat princess in a 4 prong cathedral setting. My actual is a french set RB half eternity in yellow gold with a 1.5 pear brilliant center stone set in a 6 prong tiffany setting with platinum head. He could never have gotten that together.

I knew my fiance was going to propose and I’m glad he sent me the link to the original ring he had picked because… I didn’t like it! I gently told him and then he suggested I send him a few rings that I liked and he would make the final decision. It was a great compromise!

Yes i did, I wanted to find something that i liked and he agreed. So we went to see the ring and even though we did not buy it that day we put it in layaway. I got the ring on Thanksgiving weekend of 2012, ever since i got the ring i started looking for a dress and the planning began. Seven months later we were married in the church =)
