I showed my mother (she came dress shopping with me), my sisters, and my mother showed her two cousins, but that was it. I showed it to DH in a collection of maybe 12 other dresses and told him it would be one of them in the bunch.

I mostly kept it quiet though. I didn’t want people trying to influence my choices.

I showed my mother because she was with me when I got it. I only show pics to people that are not coming to my wedding.

My Dad saw but mostly just because we went shopping for it together. I definitely hid it from my husband so that it would be a surprise when he saw it 🙂 I think you should show whomever you feel comfortable with seeing it 🙂

Haha, I showed almost everyone- except my fiance of course! It’s going to look totally different when you’re all dolled up and coming down the aisle so I didn’t feel like I was giving much away.

I’m only hiding it from my fiance.  My coworkers and friends have all seen photos, as well as close family.

My mom and my bridesmaids were there when I picked it out, and I showed a few friends at work that probably aren’t going to be invited anyway. For everyone else I am keeping it a secret! Other than here on the boards where it’s somewhat anonymous anyway haha. Not many people asked except for right after I picked it out, honestly.

My dress is very unique and I want it to be a big surprise at the ceremony, but not everyone feels that way. I think it depends on the couple and how much you want the dress to be a surprise for just your FI or for most of the people at the weddding. There’s no wrong answer 🙂

My mum and my sister were both with me when I bought the dress, so they saw it on in person. My step mother and other sister came with me to pick it up, so they also saw it on in person. My dad saw it but not whilst I was wearing it (I stored it at his house). I showed my MIL, SILs, grandmother and my best friend photos of me in the dress.

No one actually saw me wearing the dress properly altered until the day of the wedding.

I showed my dress around and got some criticism that upset me. So my advice is to keep it a secret!

I showed my friends the dress I chose, but then I changed my mind and went with something else. With the final dress, I didn’t show anyone. It was a surprise!

I showed people who asked for pictures. This included my mom, step mom, sister, and a couple friends. I think the whole anticipation thing is silly. No one really cares except you. Hell, I’d even show my fiance if he asked.

My mum, brother and his partner, and my bridesmaids have all seen it or seen photos. I’ve shown photos to some people at work who won’t be at the wedding too.
