Thank you for posting this poll and thread, it’s an interesting thing to think about! I don’t even have a saved sketch of the custom dress I’ll be having made yet, but I plan on showing the WIP to a couple of close loved ones, and the final result to as few people as possible before the wedding. And if I’m talking about it to or in front of any random people who ask to see a pic, I’ll probably show them.
The people I’d be most wary about sharing pics with are engaged friends, I’d rather not feel like they copied my dress, whether they actually did or happen to like something very similar! But I will be showing it to my one close engaged friend. 😛

I’ve thought about just showing the model pic, especially because the model is wearing it a bit differently from the way I will be wearing the dress (she’s wearing it off shoulder and without a sash).
You’re welcome! I have 2 engaged friends getting married a few months before me, but one already has her dress (and it’s completely different), and the other doesn’t see drawn to similar styles. But that’s a good point to consider!

Yes. It didn’t bother me who saw it. I loved it so much I couldn’t wait for people to see it. Some wanted to wait until I walked down the aisle, including my DH.

I voted other – I showed my mom, my Best Woman, and my hair stylist. That’s it until the big day!!!

I showed my mom, my two bridesmaids (one was with me when I bought the dress), and I also showed my FH’s sister. Another friend got to see the model picture. I shared it with some, but I didn’t want everyone to know about it.
