I am DYING for him to see me walking down the aisle! So he hasn’t seen a single picture. He doesn’t even know the general shape!

He doesn’t want to see it until I walk down the aisle.  I’m dying to show him, though, lol

He’s seen photos of the dress itself – we picked it out together – but he doesn’t want to see me in it until I walk down the aisle. Which has been difficult, because we live in a loft apartment and I basically want to try on and play with my dress every day. So there’s a lot of yelling between upstairs and downstairs to make sure he doesn’t accidentally walk in on me in the dress. He has seen me in my reception dress though, I wasn’t so fussed about that.

I kind of wanted to, but he doesn’t want to see me in my dress until I’m coming down the aisle, which is super soon now!!!

Nope! I wanted him to come with me, actually, but he chickened out at the last minute,  haha. I’ve hidden the photos, although they’re easily accessible if he really wanted to. We’re leaving the dress at the salon and then taking it straight to my grandma’s in June to do the hem so that he isn’t tempted to peek.

@kateisstoned:  I wasn’t going to see him before the ceremony.  I wanted to be completely traditional.

Then I saw this video: http://daylightweddings.com/wedding/Daylight_Demo.html  If it doesn’t take you to a specific video it’s the Erin and Jonathan highlight.

It changed everything.  I love the idea that we can have a personal moment together, to feel bonded again right before the ceremony, and be able to embrace immediately after seeing each other in our dress/tuxedo.  This video blew me away – and then I hired the videographer!

Would love to know your reaction!

Nope! He didn’t see my dress until the day of our wedding when we did a first look. I’m so glad we decided to do a first look, his reaction was priceless and it was our favorite part of the day.

I showed him like 25 pictures online – one was my dress. I asked him to pick all the ones he liked, he didn’t pick mine so I freaked out of course!

Then, I just told him which one.  I felt the picture didn’t do it justice though, so then I showed him a picture of me in the dress, but cut my head off so it wasn’t “the same” lol

I don’t know if he actually ever liked my dress in pictures, but did love it on the day of. Said it looked nothing like the pictures and still had a very emotional moment seeing me for the first time for our first look, and despite all of the previews and first look was still emotional upon seeing me walk down the aisle, and during the ceremony ever time he looked at me!

So, in my opinion showing them doesn’t ruin the surprise of it at all.  It’ll never be the same as seeing you all dressed up on your actual wedding day.

My dad on the other hand wanted to k now NOTHING about it and hadn’t seen a picture of it or anything until I had my first look with my parents.

he saw photos of it. I altered the length of it and added a train so it was a different dress on the day itself

We are not “traditional” at all (traditional in quotes because that word is relative). He helped me pick the dress and helped me zip it up when it was time to try it on for fit after a few weeks of working out. We are getting our pictures done before the ceremony too.

I’m not showing my Fiance my dress even though technically he has seen it in a magazine. I showed him a picture of it before I even chose it as “my dress”. But he has no idea. I doubt he would even remember if I pointed that out to him. I do want to show him simply because I show/tell him everything but alas, he will have to wait 🙂

@kateisstoned:  Once I found “the dress” i showed my Fiance photos of me in other dresses that i took while i was shopping but i didn’t show him the one i picked.

I was plesantly surprised that he was wowing over the dresses that were similiar shape to the one i picked… so i am very happy with that and it’s easy for me to keep that away from him until the big day.
