I’ve read on the Bee that their Boyfriend or Best Friend acted more loving, got a haircut lol, some were more quiet than usual or seemed nervous prior to proposing. What were your experiences when your SO popped the question??
My SO has told me he will be proposing by the end of the month but so far he seems to be his cheerful carefree normal self does not seem to be in deep thought about anything and ist making me feel sad and nervous that hes not even thinking about it!!! He has a pretty good poker face though so I don’t know if hes just covering things up!!
Were you given any hints???

We made a special trip to visit my parents (who live 4 hours away) so he could ask my dad. I thought that was odd so it sent up some questions, but otherwise nothing really out of the ordinary. Good luck with your proposal!

Mine lied. He told me weeks prior that’s the only thing he’d ever lie about. It’s kinda like the lies you tell when you throw someone a surprise party. They figure out that you weren’t exactly telling the truth about having “plans with the family this weekend” or whatever you had to tell them.
And I learned he’s a really, really bad liar…
Other than that, everything was normal, but I knew it was coming. He was just trying to hide the fact that he had gotten the ring in the mail that day.

He was acting WAY more loving than usual. He just seemed excited & very smiley. I actually started getting suspicious of his behavior & I guessed that he was looking at/had bought a ring, and I was right 🙂

He was fidgety, quiet, insisted on getting a haircut and making sure his clothes were perfect. I had my mind on other thigns so it all flew right over my head, and I actually got annoyed by how he was acting, haha.

Very excited and smiley. He was just hopping around like a little bunny the day before and day of!

He acted like a crazy person the morning of. He proposed to me during a bike ride, and as we were getting ready to go, he couldn’t find the keys to the bike locks. He ended up taking out our kitchen “junk drawer” and emptying the entire contents on the floor. When I saw that, I just backed away slowly. I had no idea he was getting frantic that his proposal plans would be ruined if he couldn’t find those damn keys! We have a good laugh about it now.

My Fiance acted completely normal until the day of…then all of a sudden he wanted to swing by my parents’ house and then drive 35 min to a restaurant for lunch that usually only my mom and I go to. I knew something was up but a proposal was nowhere on my mind lol.

He was definitely more loving and affectionate the weeks before the proposal which made me think it was coming. However, on the day itself he was totally normal, which is surprising because he asked my dad the day of, and I know now that he was incredibly nervous about it.

He was clingy and touchy feely. I honestly thought he was deploying and was buttering me up for that bad news. I also caught him in what I thought were a few lies (nothing bad, but he was acting cagey about stuff) but he explained them away and I believed him. Turns out no, he’d just ordered the ring, was waiting on it, and could barely contain himself.
Then the day of, he was normal again.
I mean, looking back, it was totally obvious.
Heck, it was so bad that my friends kept saying he was going to propose and I didn’t believe them.
