I got a Versa Spa spray tan done 2 days before the wedding. That gave me some time for it to set and fade just a bit, and I loved how I looked in pictures.. It rubbed off a tiny bit on the dress from sweat on the day of the wedding, but it really wasn’t that bad. Nothing on the outside of the dress, purely on the inside. It will fade from going in water, especially salt water. I would do a test run ASAP if you plan on doing it so you know what to expect in terms of color and application.

@Happy7:

1. Will the spray come off on the dress?

Mine didn’t, really, I got it on Friday for my Sunday wedding, and I did have a bit of color on the top of my dress, but I think it was mostly from makeup (I put a little foundation on my neck/chest so that everything blended & I didn’t have lines from where my foundation ended).

2. Does it come off when you sweat?

The “tint” that originally applied the day of did come off a bit when I sweated, but not the actual tan. The tint is just so they can see where they’re spraying the lotion, it’s not meant to be permanent.

3. We are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Will it come off in salt water or in the pool?

I would recommend using a gradual tan lotion (I love the “Hemp” brand lotion, it can be bought at Sally’s or Walmart) after every shower after you get the spray tan. It helps extend your tan & keeps your skin moisturized so you don’t get patchy. Also, make sure that you exfoliate beforehand. I think that it will fade in salt water or the pool (just like long showers make it fade faster), but these tips will help make it fade evenly.

Finally, I recommend you get it done by a person, not in a booth. Good luck!!
