Did you take antidepressants or anti anxiety meds during pregnancy?

wolfeyes :  I don’t, I’m sorry. She had print outs of them on hand (she is VERY passionate about it) and gave them to me after our session but I don’t know where they are. I understand though, she made me feel so much better too because the high-risk counselor freaked me out.

One thing she did say that I had never thought about was some people think lowering the dosage decreases the any risks. However, unless you are planning to wean off of it completely, she said that if it’s in your system there is the same risk if you are taking 5mg or 80mg. It is already in your system so she said that women should continue on the dosage that they are stable at. Obviously, other doctors can have other opinions but the fact she brought out research studies on the topic made me more at ease.

gr8tful4friendships :  Obviously you need to see an expert (doctor) and ask them, but I took 150mg Sertralin for three years before I got pregnant and continued on my physicians advice throughout my pregnancy. My son had mild hand trembles for three days after birth (withdrawal) and thats it! A low price to pay for a non-depressed mother.
