@krex: We aren’t married yet, but I actually wrote a little something for the officiant to have my Fiance put on the wedding band when we do the vows, and then a little something talking about an engagment ring is a promise, and now that the promise has been fulfilled, it is a promise to protect our marriage and how placing the e-ring on top of the wedding band is a reminder of that. I actually will have two wedding bands, so I will probably wear one all day and Fiance will put my great grandmothers wedding band on me during the ceremony (her ring is much too big for my 4.25 finger and I cannot get it sized without having the whole ring re-made. But I wanted to be able to wear her ring as it it for the ceremony so the ering will keep it from falling off 🙂

I don’t plan to take mine off. I’ll probably just slip it off right before we do the ring exchange and then put it back on in the correct order.

My wife took hers off. Put the Maid/Matron of Honor in charge of it until after.

the Best Man was in charge of the rings, I gave the e-ring and bands to him the night before. After the ceremony, he gave it back.
you can barely see it, but I only have a band on in this moment.

I meant to give it to my dad to hold but totally forgot. I remembered while we were sitting during the readings, so I just popped it on my pinky finger (doesn’t fit on my right hand). After he put the wedding band on I just put the engagement ring over it.
I have a thing with putting the band on over the engagement ring, I just can’t do it.

I left mine on and just turned them around when we did our unity sand ceremony.

I soldered mine together before the ceremony so I didn’t wear it for almost a week before the wedding. My husband just put both rings on my hand at the same time (well, he obviously had to)

I wore it on my right hand, then switched it to the left after the ceremony 🙂

I’ll wear it on my right hand and then switch it after (:

I am glad you posted this because I may have forgotten too! I don’t think it is a big deal but I think I will wear my ering on my right hand for the ceremony.

@krex: I totally forgot until right before we exchanged rings so I tried to be very sly and switch my ering to my right hand which is totally visible on the video) but to be honest, it really doesn’t matter! We also had unity cross and I think its kind of strange to see my e-ring on my other hand in that portion of the video…
I think its fine to leave it on!

I put mine on my right hand, and switched it back to my left right after the recessional. When I wear my engagement ring I wear it on top of my wedding band now.

I took my e-ring off for the ceremony and then put it back on for the reception.

I don’t get why wearing the e-ring during the ceremony would be so bad. even if you planned on taking it off and forgot, why would that be so upsetting? there are a million worse mistakes that could have happened during your wedding.
lots of people wear their e-ring during the ceremony on purpose. I didn’t care that it was on my left hand, I simply had him put the wedding band on, and the next day I switched the order they were on my finger. nobody died.
