I told my brother but not my mom/stepdad or sisters, I actually made sure to hide my prenatals when my parents came to visit. That’s probably a little weird but my brother is the most rational/reasonable/polite lol. I know he won’t be asking if I’m pregnant like every other day like everyone else would, and it would get everyone else’s hopes up. I think DH mentioned to his mom that we were thinking about it but not that we were actually going to start trying.

I totally understand why you wouldn’t want to tell family. For us, we didn’t tell anyone until after we started having problems. I think we told my mom after about 8 months, and we told DH’s family just before the 1 year mark. Extended family doesn’t know. I think it helped me just to have someone else who knew what was happening….and who could shut up the relatives demanding to know why I’m not pregnant yet.

OMG Yes, I’m trying to keep it a secret. Except my nosey SIL keeps commenting on my pinterest baby board trying to find out if i am TTC. So annoying.

Yes, I told my mom our plans, and then my dad asked me when we were planning to TTC so I had to tell him (we are starting after AF is gone, hopefully next week!).  My dad also manages a lab, so he has offered to draw my blood (once I get a BFP) to check right away and confirm the pregnancy.

I have a very awesome relationship with my parents..sex has always been an open topic at my parent’s house Laughing.

But besides my parents (and the hive) we don’t plan on telling anyone else.  We are close friends with a couple who got married around the same time as we did (last summer), and who are now expecting and they have been urging us to join them..we are  NOT telling them because they are putting so much pressure on us now when we aren’t even TTCing..can’t imagine how they will be once we are.
