i did. not every day or anything. but once Fiance and I talked about getting married, we also talked about what type of wedding (ie. destination). and a few other things. i didn’t think about ANY details that i am currently obsessed with. turns out there was ALOT i did not know about weddings before i got engaged. but i had some general ideas. i knew some other things like who i wanted my BMs to be.

As soon as the Fiance and I started discussing getting engaged, wedding was ALL I could think about. Unfortunately I couldn’t plan anything without looking crazy, so I only talked about it with my mom and my sister. Other than that, I wasn’t one of those brides who always dreamed about their wedding as a little girl!

I did, on and off once every couple of years maybe? We’ve been together for over 8 years though, so every once and a while I’d come across a pretty dress and start imagining our wedding. I even had a folder full of inspiration that Fiance found before we were engaged and he teased me about it. We’ve always known we were going to get married though so it didn’t bother him.

I guess I knew I wanted to get married in our church (instead of a destination wedding).  And I knew we’d have a larger wedding/reception to include our large families and close friends.  But I didn’t plan anything or pick out colors or hire vendors or anything.

We were engaged by WB standards (had talked about a wedding date and mutually agreed we wanted to get married then), but not by my family/friends’ standards (ring and a proposal), and that’s when I started dreaming about wedding stuff. After we had picked the ring out together and brought it home, I actually did go try on a few wedding dresses with my mom. After three or four weeks, he officially proposed and I was all set to start planning for real :).

The wedding I was wanted growing up (in a church!) is not the wedding I’m planning now. I thought about it occasionally I guess as much as the next girl. I was not planning anything before he proposed. I did get engaged quickly, though.

I started thinking about it after Fiance and I seriously talked about getting married.  We agreed we’d both like to be married within a year, so I worked out a rough budget to see how much we needed to save up.  That was around the time I discovered the waiting boards on the Bee. He proposed about 5 months later.

I couldn’t bring myself to actually purchase a bridal magazine until we’d been engaged for a couple months, though.  Don’t really know why…

I thought about it and even looked at some wedding related stuff but I didn’t do any actual wedding planning.

I voted other since there wasn’t an “All day, every day, yo!” option.

LOL, I’m an encore bride and both times I didn’t think about the wedding till push came to shove. The first time my parents planned the whole thing in their home country, I just bought a dress, showed up and brought the man. The second time Darling Husband and I were dating for four years, yet it still never occurred to me to think about the wedding. Once he proposed and his mom immediately started asking me a million questions about venue, date etc. I was like “oh, I guess I gotta start planning now since noone else is going to do it this time”. So I got online and found Weddingbee. One of my best discoveries 🙂 Now I feel like I’m experienced it enough to plan somebody else’s wedding.

I thought about it after we had the marriage talk… even though we didn’t get engaged until about a year after that. I didn’t actually plan anything, but I started thinking about what it would be like to wear a pretty dress and walk down the aisle. I had never thought about it until that point in my life. I was never one of those little girls who dreamed about their wedding day… at least, not until I met my Fiance. 😉
