sweettea169 :  Howdy. As a photographer, do you get offended if the tip is not the standard 18% and up? What if it’s like $50-100 for a $2k wedding package?

We did as he went above and beyond and stayed way longer than contracted so we tipped him generously.  he included a thank you note for the gratuity when he sent us our flash drive of edits.

laur371 :  My brother worked as a second shooter and he told me that whenever the main photographer/ owner got tip, he would give it to the second shooter, which I think is very nice. That might be something to think about if you have a two person team.

jolie2 : Sorry for the way late reply! Not sure if you even still need a response, but I thought I’d write back for anyone else who might be interested…$50-$100 tips are totally welcome and appreciated! I charge between $4k and $5k and am always glad to receive a tip of any kind! We’ve gotten gift cards out to dinner spots that the clients know we like up to $200 tips. Any kind of kind gesture is always appreciated!!
