I’m terrible with tipping etiquette. My alterations were fairly basic – take in the top and take in the sides at the waist. The cost is $200. I don’t feel too inclined to tip as the service wasn’t fantastic. When I went in for my first fitting, she said it would take her about 1-2 weeks, but has actually taken 3 1/2 weeks. And instead of calling me to tell me it was ready, I called to inquire about it and that’s when she said it was ready.
Would you/do you tip your seamstress for alterations?
