My husband and I woke up, grunted at each other and I drove him to work.

Other than that, nothin. Our morning was spent in silence, but that isn’t unusual; we’re not morning people.

Maybe we’ll go out to dinner tonight. Dunno, I might just end up making dinner and calling it a day.

@Hyperventilate:  *snort* I love the mental image of two people just grunting at one another and leaving it at that.

OP – I didn’t wake up to a gift, but I *did* get to Skype with my SO for the first time since he went to India on business over a week ago! That was really special. He’s had terrible Internet quality since he got there, but today somehow everything was smooth and functional. So we Skyped for about 20 minutes while I got ready for work 🙂

He also sent me a gigantic stuffed giraffe, which arrived last night. And when I say “gigantic”, I mean it’s almost as tall as I am (I’m 5’2″). I think I might be getting flowers today at work, but idk..

I woke up to flowers =) My SO woke up early & actually left the house, bought them, and came back. I stayed sound asleep so I was pretty shocked when I saw flowers & wondered how they got there lol

I woke up to a gift-wrapped box of Lara bars. Probably not most people’s idea of a Valentine’s treat, but I love them. Ate one for breakfast.

I got a note in my lunch…a heart cut out of paper with “I love you” written on it.  That’s all so far.  I’m sure we’ll do something tonight.

I lick on the face by my puppy. Good way to wake up. I am now eating the toffee that Fiance got me yesterday for Valentine’s day. Can’t wait for some terrible for us spaghetti carbanara tonight.

SO got me roses! And chocolates but the chocolates were part of the meal deal he also bought (and is going to cook!) for dinner. I am actually quite amazed at his effort this year, if I didn’t know the ring was still being made I might think that this was it! Massively appreciative of it 🙂

Love him!! Guess my hints must’ve gone in this time!!

I woke up to the same thing I always wake up to, Darling Husband snoozing his alarm 6 times before getting out of bed.

My surprise was my Fiance calling me to the stairs, my response was “what did i do now?”. I looked up to find him completely naked accept for my red thong he was wearing.

LOL we dont take valentines too seriously.

FH apparently tried to wake me up and talk to me this morning but I was apparently completely unaware of it, haha. He said he told me happy valentines day and I said thanks and rolled over and went back to sleep… I very vaguely remember him saying
“ok… well I guess I’ll just go to work…” Oops haha

I went downstairs for breakfast to find the most beautiful and loving card from my DH!  As for my gift, he already told me about a week and a half ago that he had bought me Season 3 of Downton Abbey as my gift. 🙂

Well considering I had to wake up at 2am to go to work this morning, there were no surprises for neither of us. lol
