You have a nice figure and the dress looks great on you! so I would say they are more trouble than they are worth! What are you wearing for a bra? Longline? That might be enough to smooth you out, but I don’t think you need it!

I’m still planning on wearing mine, but they aren’t comfortable at all, and going to the bathroom? Not sure how I’m going to accomplish that!

I’m on the slimmer side and was especially so at my wedding, but I really liked the way the spanx firmed me up and gave me a lot of body confidence in my fitted dress.  I wore ones that ended at a natural waistsince my dress had a big sash (no spanx pudgeover concerns).  I was trying on my dress just before the wedding and it seemed snug and like it was pulling a little.  I was thinking, “How can this be?  I haven’t gained weight!”  Then I realized that I didn’t have my spanx on.  They really shrunk me down a notch.

Pretty dress, btw!  Your figure looks great as is, but I say go for the spanx if you’ll feel more confident the day of (even if you do feel a little gassy the next day).

You look great. It’s all personal choice. I didn’t wear spanx, but something similar that were more restrictive. I don’t know if it made a big difference. They had a p hole too (not sure how else to say that, lol). There’s no way I’d be able to deal with them if they didn’t.

I didn’t. I bought them and tried them out when I was in a friends wedding a couple of months before, they were very uncomfy. I just didn’t want to be uncomfortable during my entire wedding.

Like others said, you really don’t need them!

I’m not a fan of spanx.  I feel like it gives me indigestion.  If you are worried about “chub rub” I would use some bodyglide or something similar.  I use it all the time when running to prevent chaffing.  I’m also keeping some babypowder/gold bond close by to keep that area dry which helps with the “rubbing”.   Good luck!

Im deciding whether to bring my “super suit” or not with me to my next try on appointment.

Does your gown have a corset, if yes, then Im voting that you do not need it!

Maybe you could wear some high panties if your worried about “tummy areas” or the undies that have the shorts to them for the infamous and horrible “chub rub” (I totally get that too from time to time!).Or shoot, wear controller panty hose or even stretchy biker shorts! Hope that helps!

Best of Luck on your decision! xo

I love Spanx! I am planning to wear some under my gown. I feel like they smooth things out and I have the “chub rub” (great name btw! lol) issue too and they make me feel so much better. A lot better than just a pair of boy shorts would. Plus, I do feel more confident in them.

I wore just a midriff undergarment (from boobs to hips) to suck in my tummy. It was great – except for when dancing, when it kept rolling down. I ended up completely taking it off !!

Spanx were more trouble than they were worth. My dress was only formfitting around my ribcage, so there also wasn’t much point! Looking at your pic, you definitely don’t need Spanx – go without and be more comfortable!

The less I had to wear under my gown, the better. I had my seamstress sew in cups so I didn’t even need to worry about a bra.

Um, I will definitely be wearing spanx. I’m slim and don’t need them to suck stuff in, but I love the way they make my body look more sleek and toned. I bet Pippa Middleton wore spanx. Still trying to figure out which ones, though, as I’m having a hard time figuring out how to look sexy with them on! Fiance has requested to take me out of the dress, but spanx just aren’t that pretty… not too keen for a Bridget Jones “enormous pants” moment!

You really don’t look like you need spanx. I would suggest slip/bloomers (the shorts kind I don’t know what they’re called) but I don’t want to get pegged an old lady! lol x.x I’ve only worn my Spanx twice and both times it wants to roll down. It wasn’t worth it and I stopped wearing them.
