nope. my Maid/Matron of Honor and 2 BM’s live out of state, 1 of those BM’s was a friend from college in CA (i’m from MI)… so she’s never met any of the other girls. all five of my MOH/bm’s are kept in the loop and stay in touch with each other via a weekly e-mail i started back when we first got engaged. plus, all five of them are the closest gf’s to me… so i talk about the other to everyone else all the time. everyone feels like they know each other, even though some have never even met! 😛
the brunch idea sounds like a great idea for everyone to come meet and eat! 🙂

Yes and no. Some know each other, and others have not met yet. I think they will all enjoy each others company as they are all very mellow/rad ladies.

I have 4 BMs and a Maid/Matron of Honor.. My Maid/Matron of Honor is the only one that has met them all, haha. Most of my girls met when we started shopping for their dresses/my dress though, and have since all added each other on FB.

One bridesmaid from the UK who is my close friend from high school doesn’t know the other 4, who all know each other at least peripherally…my sister (MOH) knows everyone, though.

It’s not too bad having BM’s that don’t know each other, but I am definitely working on getting mine together a few times before the wedding.
My two MOHs and I are best friends (which is why i couldn’t just pick one!), and my other BM’s are my fiance’s sister, my cousin and a friend from university. We all went to the same highschool, so everyone at least knows of each other, except for my friend from university. She hadn’t met my cousin or future SIL until we had a get together at my parents house. She had only met my MOHs once or twice. I thought it might be hard/awkward for her, but she was really willing to get to know the others and it was great! A meet and greet or two before hand is always a good idea and of course an openness.

I am Maid/Matron of Honor for my best friend’s wedding and have only met one of the bridesmaids, since she lived on my floor my freshman year of college. The bride lives in Hawaii, I live in manhattan, the chick I know lives in brooklyn, and the two other bridesmaids (sisters of the bride and groom) live in Buffalo NY, and in Virginia. We are meeting all together for the first time next weekend at the bachelorette party, and then its just another week til the wedding. Although it was a pain sometimes, everything went pretty smoothly with organizing the party (we didn’t have to do a shower, since the bride doesnt want to lug everything home!), but I think it helps to have someone in your bridal party that is a planner and will take charge.
