I just started my job in April, so I am pretty sure I will not get anything, I will be totally surprised if I do. But I do work with my MOH’s hubb7y, so I KNOW he is getting me one, lol. I don’t think we will get anything from my fiance’s work either, only becasue he is a sheriff’s deputy and doesn’t really have one direct “boss”. Although the team he works with may pitch in for a card and gift card, when he was at another station that is what they did for everyone who had a baby or got married.

I got married one month ago and invited several coworkers with whom I have worked for over 14 years. My boss his wife and and a fellow long time employee was also invited with her husband and neither brought even a card. (Although they did the group card signed by numerous people and bought food for a small party at work, I for sure thought they would bring a card.) Needless to say, after so many years of being generous and thoughtful during the Christmas season and Bosses’ Day, I will no longer plan to continue doing this. Feels like they cheaped out and now that I’m back at work, I feel resentful because it seems thoughtless and not to mention that one of these people is married to an attorney so money is not the issue…So disappointed that they couldn’t even think to bring a separate card for me and my husband on our wedding day….
