My mom and sister are coming to visit me in June. I asked the dress shop when they expect my dress in and they said “sometime around June 20”. Just hoping it’ll come in just before that so I can go and pick it up with mom and sister (MOH). So, I’m curious, when did your dress come in?

I was told my dress would be in sometime in May when I ordered in October. I got a call in February saying it was already in, I was shocked!

KES, same thing here….I ordered October 24, told it would take 4-6 months (I would be on the back burner for the time being since I wasnt getting married until July… and I get a call in February letting me know my dress was in. sweet!
If that was the original time they told you, I would say you should be straight and it might even come earlier….but if they told you this like a week ago, i would trust their time frame as being pretty accurate.

I was told my dress would arrive in October for my december wedding (I ordered it in May). Imagine my surprise when they called me TWO WEEKS LATER and told me the dress was in!

Yes, I ordered in July and was told January/February, and my dress came in the first week of November.

@Soon2BeMrs – Yeah they told me this yesterday! I am just hoping it comes in a couple of days before they said. I don’t ask for much, just a couple of days lol.
@Dragonsus – That is insane!!! Wow!

Mine came in two months early but I only found out when I called to ask a question and they told me in a very flip manner that it was in. I would have never known otherwise (!). Don’t hesitate to call your bridal salon every few weeks to check. I think they prioritize brides by their wedding dates, thus if your wedding is not for several months, they will not bother to contact you early. 🙁

I got an email last night that my dress arrived and will ship out to me this morning (order online from netbrides). They said it would be here definitely ebfore May 31st, so I guess it’s a month early. Can’t wait for it to get here!!!!!!!!

This is so encouraging! I’ll make sure I call every couple of weeks once June gets closer. My wedding is still a year away, so I know I’m not priority!

I ordered my dress in April 09 and I was told that it would take 10-12 months since I wanted some parts of the dress done custom. But my dress ended up coming in July. The only bad part was they wanted to full balance within 30 days of the dress arriving and I didn’t have the money then since I was paying other vendors because I wans’t expecting it. Thankfully the bridal shop let me go on a payment plan and it has since been paid.

Mine was ordered in August and was supposed to be in in January. It never came. Now they’re telling me late April/early May. So yeah, I am not a happy camper.

@greenleafmountain – Oh my. That is awful! I’m so sorry you have to deal with that stress 🙁 Do you need a lot of alterations?

@ottawabride- I will need it taken in in the waist and hips, but hopefully nothing more complicated. There still should be time for everything and they give me a definite ship date, so if they are right about that, there will be enough time. But I also have this sort of secret hope that something goes wrong and they can’t get it and I’ll have an excuse to get a different dress (I’m having second thoughts). But I try not to think about that too much because it seems really unlikely. I think all the drama has just made me really ambivalent about the dress in general. But sorry, I don’t mean to hijack the thread, lol. I would give the dress shop a call if I were you, they may have more information about when it will be in now than what they were able to tell you when you ordered.

Mine came is ‘early’ but it’s because another bride had ordered my size and her wedding was much later than mine so they gave me the dress instead. I have a feeling this is what usually happens when dresses come in early and that it ends up working out for everyone.
