The Alfred Angelo dress is gorgeous! The back of it is sooooo pretty! But maybe I’m being biased since I’m an AA bride myself! πŸ™‚

I had several different dresses that I really loved.  I finally made my choice only after seeing the pictures of me actually in them.  The one I really loved, when I saw the pictures (I took some on my phone and some with my camera) I realized that the pictures came out making me look really square.  I was so upset, but I ended up with a dress that I really really love.

Did you get to take pictures of you in them, maybe that will help you make up your mind.

I originally thougth I wanted a fit and flare dress that was all lace. I tried a few on and although I still LOVE lace dresses in photos, they all looked like my grandma’s curtains on me. I also wanted something light and cool, as my wedding will be outside and it could end up being 35C. Anyway, I ended up with the basic shape that I was after, but my dress is made from shimmer satin and it weighs a ton! πŸ™‚

I didn’t vote because I’m not sure what the out come will be, but I can tell you my vision has changed back and forth.  I started out thinking I wanted a big/poofy dress. . . till I put one on.  Those suckers are heavy.  For an outdoor reception I need to be able to move around, so I’ve started looking at more streamlined/A-line dresses.  But then I changed the ceremoney time to later, so I felt like I needed to be more formal, so I went back to the bigger gowns.  At this point I think I’m looking for a sleek lace gown with some flair, but not much.  We’ll see what happens when it’s all said and done.

    Good luck with your shopping.

I had from day one pictured myself in an a-line gown, simple, chic and with a splash of color.  I ended up having to chose between the Alfred Angelo 2118 and the Maggie Sottero Rehearsal Dinner1044.  Neither were a-line and neither all that simple.  I ended up having to chose between feeling like a bride (although not all the traditional) and feeling like a goddess.

I don’t think I can vote. I always imagined Grace Kelly and Ball Gown. I wound up in a modern mermaid. But, I’m about to buy my original love because my vision isn’t coming together at all and I don’t like what I see… lol
