My grooms in a 3 piece dark grey suit and the groomsmen are wearing grey trousers and waistcoat with a navy jacket. ‘Y bridesmaids are in navy too.

Were not going for a super formal look though so I’m happy for things to look a bit mismatched. I want people’s personalities to shine through a bit!

They had on the same tux, but the Groomsmen had a solid color tie without a vest underneath, and my husband wore a patterned tie with a vest.

The guys will be wearing the same grey tuxedo, but I plan to have the groomsmen wear a plum colored bow tie to match the bridesmaid dresses, and Fiance will wear a white or ivory bow tie.

My fiance will be in a grey suit and the groomsmen well be in grey slacks and vest. My fiance will also have a white tie and the groomsmen well have a plum necktie.

Here’s a similar pic for an idea

My DH wore a 3 piece suit in a darker grey than his guys. His tie was also a lighter pink than theirs.

My hubby wore a tie, and the groomsmen wore bow ties. It wasn’t a huge difference, but he still stood out 😊

They all wore their own (very nice) suits. We didn’t do any matchy stuff really.

If you’d like your groom to stand out then a different waistcoat/tie and more extravagant buttonhole will do it.

UK-bee everyone wore their own suits in either light grey, dark grey or navy blue. We had everyone wear a light blue shirt with whatever tie they wanted (ha with my approval). It turned out really nice! I kind of find it odd to see anyone other than twins under the age of 6 wearing matching outfits.

No my h. and the men of the party all wore morning dress . My dad is dead now , and the pic of him in his grey topper and tail coat  is one of my most treasured things !

PS I know it more common in the UK, though .

At the time my husband and all his groomsmen were military officers so they all wore their dress uniforms, which means they all dressed exactly the same. I think it looked nice.

He dressed slightly differently. They all had the same suit but he wore the jacket and they didn’t and he wore a slightly different tie than the groomsmen.

All wore tuxes, but my DH wore an ivory vest and ivory bow tie, and the groomsmen wore black cumberbunds and black bow ties. Also, DH’s bout was a lavender rose to match some of the flowers in my bouquet. The groomsmens’ bouts were ivory roses.

My groom and groomsmen are all wearing the same navy suit – the groomsmen are wearing plain white shirts with printed navy ties and my Fiance is wearing a subtly printed white shirt with a burgundy tie and navy printed pocket square. The groomsmen’s boutonniere will be white flowers/leaves and my Fiance will have white/burgundy flowers and leaves 🙂

We plan to have his guys do full Scottish kilt so they’ll all most likely wear the exact same thing –  like this
