Yes!  We were sitting next to each other on the couch, and then suddenly he was on one knee in front of me.  I paniced and got down on the floor with him, so technically we were both on our knees for it.

Mine got down on both knees as we were sitting on the couch opening up presents on Christmas day. I love that I have photographic proof of it. See, on both knees there!

No, we were both on the floor when he proposed. He was trying really hard to wake me up from a nap 🙂

@deetroitwhat: Gosh, I knew I was getting proposed to, and when he got on one knee, I did laugh. I felt bad, but it was so funny because he tried so hard to have everything go right. And it didn’t. =]

I’m sorry, I’m mistaken.  J actually read this post and told me that he DID in fact get on one knee.  I honestly don’t recall.  I was in shock.  MY BAD.  Love you, J.

No, he didn’t get down on his knee.  I would have died laughing if he did.

I was telling him not to because he was in slacks and the ground was muddy. He didn’t listen- but that’s how it seems to be most of the time, I’m more logical and he’s more emotional- it goes with our personality types.

My husband got down on one knee but right after he asked me I dropped down to my knees too!

I dont think a guy needs to get down on one knee – it happens however it happens!

*Mine actually did not, he said in the beginning if it ever came down to it, he was not going to get down on one knee, though i wished then that he would, just because that is the romantic fairytale thing to do, but as for my fiance he did not.

It was Christmas Eve of 2009! and we were on the way to his family’s Christmas. I was driving and he was like “can i ask you something” and I said “yes what is it” and he said “can i please go ahead and give you your Christmas  present” i told him, “lets wait til tomorrow because I absolutely love presents on Christmas,” he insisted and I said “fine,” he was like “okay” im still looking at he road–DRIVING! And he pulls out a box and he says “open it,” I looked down and opened it, & i was like earrings what I always wanted and then I looked at it again and I said “are you serious,” I was balling out my this time. I pulled off on a dirtroad, and he wiped my eyes and said “Baby will you marry me”-I instantly jumped into his arms and gave him an amazing hug and I said “are you for real” and he said “uh yes!” and then I said “yes, yes!!!” it wasn’t the fairytale proposal but to me IT WAS!

My fiance isn’t very tradional, he is a person of his own, and knows how to surprise me on so many levels, i just knew this was the man I definitly wanted to marry! & now we are getting married in October!

YES HE DID! I knew that it was going to be sometime in the next month or so because we had been talking about marriage and stuff. We are both in our 30’s but we drove over 15 hours straight to my dad in New Mexico from Idaho so my guy could meet my parents in person finally with the goal of getting to talk to my dad about his love for me and intentions. Very romantic for me. We arrived during the annual Hot air balloon festival in Alberquerque and after spending a day with my parents. We got up super early on our last morning to watch the balloons take off with coffee of course for me. I’m a huge black coffee person lol. Spent time together alone at the botanical gardens, the aquariam and the zoo thing and then since my guy works on 100 ft. plus radio towers we decided to take the aerial tram to the ski resort thing. Worlds longest tram ride and OMG what a view. It thunderstormed while we were up there and during a break in the weather with the sunset occuring. He kept on commenting about why dont we walk over to this ledge area and don’t I think its beautiful. Wellll… turned out he was trying to find the perfect spot to propose all day long and nothing seemed perfect untill that mountain top. While I was mouth dropped watching the sunset, he called my name, I turned and He was dropped to one knee. All I remember hearing is “Will you” and something about him loving me forever and I kept saying yes a few times really fast. WOW! He says that I was waving my hand in front of my face, had the OMG look going on, and was saying YES over and over. Some people saw what was going on and they cheered and took our picture afterwards. The tram was still delayed for hours due to the lightning and eventually half of the hundreds of people stuck up there waiting for the tram(20 person or so max.) to transport everyone down the mountain knew what had happened and the congrats were still  coming.   Bad thing is that there was no cell service up there and I couldn’t tell any of my friends and family untill hours later.  I know my post was super long and I don’t care. I LOVE CLARENCE DAVID DISHNER!!!!! and he loves me.

@SouthernGirl:  Ha!  Mine was similar only he was sitting on the couch and I was on the chair.  He crawled over to the chair and asked with the ring.  It was very casual and totally us. 🙂
