Nope, not our thing. We didn’t really have a formal proposal, either–we had a discussion and decided to get married, and that was it. Maybe it’s not your typical romantic proposal, but it worked for us!

Nope, because there was tons of snow on the ground, but that is not really our style anyway.

My Fiance did get down on one knee and personally it’s tough to imagine if he didn’t, but I would have accepted it. I don’t think people should react to something because it’s different than what they’d expect. Every couple is different and people should do what fits them.

Nope, sure didn’t. I also get some weird looks so I generally leave that part out if asked “the story.” We were walking our dogs in a state park when he did it so he would have gotten lots of doggy kisses had he done so, haha; we’d stopped to stand on a bridge and check out the views, he started talking about our future and how long we’d been together, etc, and then goes, “So, will you?” And I go “Will I what?” Lol. “Will you marry me?” And then I was like “Oh! Sure, yes.” SOOOO romantic. (Kidding) But SO us. πŸ™‚

He did. πŸ™‚ I was nervous, not only because he asked me, but because we were on the front of a sailboat and I was afraid hed fall (eeek) Mr M chartered a sailboat in St Augustine, so it was just he and I and the captain, and he proposed while sailing into the sunset! πŸ˜€

He did, and it was very cute.  He’s pretty traditional about this stuff, so I wasn’t surprised he went down on one knee.  πŸ™‚

I woke up to him kneeling by the bed to wake me up and then he proposed… so I guess yeah he was!

Sort of.  We were both on our hands and knees because he had me crawling into a snow cave next to a ski hut.  It was New Year’s Day in the backcountry of Yosemite, and guests at the hut dug a snow cave.  At the end of this tunnel on a snow shelf, Fiance had lit votives and placed the ring box between them.  Then he proposed.

We were seated in a horse-drawn sleigh being pulled across a frozen lake, so kneeling wasn’t really an option. But I never really wanted a kneeling proposal, seems a bit antiquated to me. To each their own though.

Nope.. We were in bed joking about getting married in Vegas when he asked, ” so you wanna go to Vegas?” It was so funny, I said “um so does this mean we’re engaged?”. It did, but were not even getting married there.. Didn’t even have a ring for a while.. Just got it this weekend πŸ™‚

Mine did but I totally didn’t see it or realize it! πŸ™  I am sad that I don’t remember..  Because he first opened the ring box, asked, then went down on one knee.  During that time I was just staring at the ring in disbelief with my mouth open that I had tunnel vision.. and I didn’t even notice he moved..  I had a blank look on my face and didn’t notice anything around me.  Then when I didn’t say anything and he had to ask me to marry him again, he was still down on his knee (I did notice he was lower than me).  I wish I had the memory of seeing his knee on the ground πŸ™

He got down on one knee, in the snow, in a tuxedo.  What a stud.

Of course, since he’s so freakin’ tall and I am so ridiculously short, he may have just done this so we could be at eye level.  πŸ™‚

He just did it yesterday, and it was very spur of the moment.

He left the kitchen (we were discussing rings) and I was wondering where he went until he came tearing back around the corner and rather violently got down on his knee with a thud. In fact, he might have even gotten down on both knees. I was more amused than anything because of how loud, awkward, and unexpected his series of actions were. I honestly thought it was a joke at first!

I found my love kneeling in our bedroom after following his trail of roses and red ribbon that he had strung through out the house with hand written love notes leading my way to him. It was perfect.
