We are getting ready at home, and not using a church at all. My hair stylist is coming to us. It’s nice because we can get ready in pjs with the comforts of home, and the girls not getting their hair at that very moment can do other things. At a salon you’re all kind of stuck there doing hair only.

@wildflowerbee:  I’ve been in one wedding where we went to the salon to get our hair done However as a bridal makeup artist, the majority of weddings I do I do on site wherever the bride and her bridal party are. I have don’t maybe 3 weddings in the last 5 years where the bride decided to get her hair/makeup done at the salon instead of on location.

My hairdresser (sister’s brother in law) is coming to my parents’ house where we are all getting ready.  I just didn’t want the added stress of traveling to and from a salon on the day of.
