DH’s parents were living overseas at the time, so they didn’t all meet until the day before our wedding celebration.

My mom and step dad have met his mom/boyfriend and dad/girlfriend multiple times. Heck, my mom and step dad went to VEGAS with my FI’s dad and girlfriend a few months ago. His dad goes every year for the Super Bowl and they asked my parents along. We wouldn’t have been able to go, but they didn’t even invite us LOL!

My family is in Oklahoma and DH’s parents live in New Hampshire.  His mom and dad came to OK over father’s day weekend a few months before the wedding.  my family had a bridal shower for us that weekend and his parents came to that.

But our moms had been Facebook friends for like a year prior to that. 😂

My Fiance and I started dating whilst we were in high school, so our parents actually met very early on in the relationship simply because we needed them to drive us around (we live in Australia, so no drivers license for us until we turn 18). My dad and step mum also now live 5 or 6 houses down from my Future Mother-In-Law, so they do tend to bump into each other in the street.

BeeDD:  My parents met my FI’s parents about a year ago when we moved in together, both parents brought are stuff so they bonded on getting us out of the house. Aside from that our parents hardly see eachother, they will be together this weekend at our engagement party but thats it, aside from moms going dress shopping with me

Ours live on opposite coasts, so they met a couple of days before the wedding. Got along great, though!

My mom met his mom summer 2014 and my dad met both of his parents at our grad school commencement later that year.  My mom will meet his dad the week of the wedding.

My mother/stepfather live in England and haven’t even met Fiance yet, let alone his Parents. So they will meet at the wedding.

My Dad/stepmom (who live in VA) were meant to meet his mom (who lives in NY) a few weeks ago but, due to circumstances out of our control, that didn’t happen. We move to Miami in June, so they may not actually meet until the wedding.

FI’s father lives in Guatemala, so won’t meet either of my (4!) Parents until the wedding

I don’t think it’s a huge deal that they haven’t met prior to our wedding – our parents live in 4 different cities in 3 different countries, it would be a lot of work to coordinate a meetup, plus, just because we’re getting married doesn’t mean they have to be friends. We’re moving to Miami in June and I highly doubt their visits will ever overlap (maybe when we have kids?)

I think this is very common for a lot of people now as more and more people move out of their home states/countries.

Haven’t met yet but we’re trying to arrange something this summer as my mother will be travelling close to where his mom is.

With my culture I was lucky to put off their meeting as long as I did. My mom wanted to meet them before we even went on our first date….

But they met at like the 6 month mark, before we were engaged. It took that “long” because they live a 5 hour drive from my parents and have different work schedules. Now they are really tight and send gifts back and forth; talk on the phone, etc.

My family travelled 10 hours to my engagement party in the hometown of my fiance’, so both of our parents / families met there at the engagement party 🙂

Our parents met at our wedding. Nobody (myself and my husband included)  had any real interest in them meeting before then. I love my dad, and he loves both his parents, but their meeting just wasn’t a priority for us. The chances of their meeting in the future is low. I guess if we decide to have children they may meet again, but I can’t say for sure.
