We contacted everyone. Some people verbally responded and never sent the RSVP. Not a single one of my aunts or uncles RSVP’ed in time and many of our friends didn’t either. Lucky for us it was a small wedding!

We contacted everyone.  Some guests may assume that you know they’re coming and don’t RSVP.  I figure it was worth the hassle to track them down than to deal with the situation of them showing up on the wedding day.  Also, although this is infrequent, stuff sometimes gets lost in the mail.  We had a handful like that.

We contacted everyone by phone and email that did not RSVP, and our website wouldn’t allow people to RSVP after a certain date — so those thinking they could RSVP the week before couldn’t.  I also mailed out reminder post cards two weeks before the wedding with a map and parking isntructions — because of this everyone that RSVP’d showed up!  Most people have told me that 10% that RSVP don’t even show up to the wedding — and I was NOT about to let that happen because I had to pay per person based on the RSVPs not the actual number that showed up!
