Yes! It was the day my husband’s grandparents and parents got married. It worked out to be a wedding every 28 years. Plus we loved the idea of getting married in June. That’s when our birthdays are and we ended up being on our honeymoon during our birthdays.

Yes, October 5th is my FH’s Birthday. He actually chose the date because he said it is independence day for him. He was previously married for 20 years and the ex wife always found a way to make his birthday disasterous…. so he wants that day to represent his new beginning and to make his birthday the happiest day of his life.
Now what he doesn’t know is that I got him an awesome grooms cake made out of his logo and got his favorite caramel cake and that we will all sing happy birthday.

We had always wanted to get married on our anniversary, and we both wanted a longer engagement too. When he proposed we were 19 months away from our 6 year anniversary, which happened to fall on a Saturday. so needless to say we went for that date!

Nope, it was the last late summer date free at the reception venu we chose, we didnt want a winter wedding or to wait for a year.

We knew that we wanted to get married late spring/early summer, and when our venue told us June 7th was available- we jumped on it! It’s also the closest date to our dating anniversary (June 9th), so that was an added bonus 🙂

It’s two years after the date he proposed. I’m in grad school (almost done!) so I didn’t want to plan a wedding while I was in school/taking the boards so we pushed it to two years! It just happened to work out that he proposed on a random Thursday in August so we’re getting married Saturday 8/16/14. I’m also sort of a freak about numbers so I was glad it’s an even date 🙂

I’m totally with you when it comes to numbers!! I’m huge into numerology and we chose our wedding date based on it
