We won’t. I’m not regligious and the Fiance hasn’t attended church in 10 years, so we feel like it just wouldn’t be appropriate. We will be having my aunt who’s a minister marry us, but we will be outdoors and lakeside…

It was important to both Fiance and I to be married in a church. So that’s what we’ll be doing in less than 54 days!!

I will be, simply because I was raised Catholic and believe it is important to be married in a church even if I’m not actively practicing at the moment. My SO is alright with this (also raised Catholic) though he’s voiced his opinion that it’s a bit hypocritical. C’est la vie – I don’t want to regret it down the road just because I may be a bit lax at the moment.

However, we won’t be marrying in a Catholic Church but hopefully in an Episcopalian cathedral. Unfortunately, as this will be his second marriage, we cannot be married in the Catholic Church without a long petition process.

We didn’t. I’m an atheist and my husband isn’t religious. We didn’t even consider getting married in a church.

Mrs.Sawyertobe:  we did. I think a lot of brides today are not getting married in a church to cut down on travel time OR they have the priest do the ceremony at the hall (again to cut down travel time)

But it was important that we get married in the House of God.

For my 1st wedding I was married in a church. This time around we skipping the church and going straight for the beach. Fiance isn’t the least bit religious and we both want this ceremony to be personal and about us.

We are not getting married in a church as it’s a Jewish wedding! Fiance was raised Christian but no longer practices and does not plan on it, and I am Jewish. We have decided together to have a Jewish family and home. We are getting married outside!

I always thought I would be but we ended up getting married in a garden. Though we both regularly attended a local church, its enclosed space with no windows or natural light was just not “us”. My Darling Husband loves the outdoors and so do I. The garden we chose for our wedding is close to our home and a place we would and still do go together often to walk around.

Mrs.Sawyertobe:  We will be. We’re not really religious anymore but the church and the pastor have a lot of sentimental value to us as there is a lot of connection to how we met and where I grew up.

(We met as teenagers at a church camp)

We’re not getting married in a church. It honestly never occured to us. We want our wedding to represent us and our style. We’re not religious and don’t go to church under normal circumstances, so getting married there just wouldn’t be like us.

Mrs.Sawyertobe:  I did!! As much as I love the idea of a Destination Wedding and getting married on the beach, it was important to both of us to get amrried in a church (more important to me than DH)

I attend mass almost every weekend so it is very important to me to get married in the church. My fiancé doesn’t attend mass, however he wouldn’t get married any other way because of how he was raised.
