I’m getting married in a park with a completely secular ceremony. I was raised Christian, but am now an agnostic atheist. Fiance was raised Catholic and still has some religious beliefs, but has told me it’s more a personal spirituality than strictly following organized religion.

My family could care less, his mother threw a huge hit but is now coming around (or so I hear since I don’t really talk to her).

Definitely not because we aren’t religious or spiritual. Even if I was, I’d want to do it outside…I’ve always wanted an outdoor wedding.

Yup. My fiance and I are getting married at our homechurch that we attand regularly, not only because it’s fitting, but because it’s free! So it helps cut down on cost.
