I bought my dress used online, and planned on selling it again, but my neighbor came over today and told me that if I do that, I will regret it forever! Now I’m having second thoughts, even though I’ve already listed it for sale. What are your thoughts on the subject? Help me ladies!!

i dont think you will regret it. i plan on selling my dress when I am done with it. i dont think things are like they used to be back then. obviously if you want to keep it, then keep it =)
my mom was married in 1986, she got married a church, at her reception she ran out the back door and threw her gown in the dumpster

I am too sentimental to sell it. Plus it will be altered quite a bit so it would be difficult to sell anyway. Mentally, it makes sense. Emotionally… I can’t do it!

I hope I can sell my dress after the wedding! lol
That would honestly be ideal for me since it will just sit in my closet for the rest of my life. Hopefully, I can sell it to a bride for a fraction of the price that I bought it for and make her wedding day magical! lol im so cheesy

oh man, i’ve paid a pretty penny for my dress and would love to sell it. But like PP i’d be afraid it would be altered so much, that it would be unsellable.

My grandmother bought my dress, she’d be devestated if I ever sold it.

I voted “no” because I do not want to sell it. However, I plan on donating it, once it’s finally back from being cleaned.

I am going to give away my reception dress and the dress I originally bought for the wedding, but I haven’t decided what to do with the dress I will actually wear for the ceremony.

I just got mine. I plan on selling it. I can’t imagine what I’d use it for after this? And nah, I’m not sentimental.

I doubt I’ll sell it. Mostly because it seems like too much work for me to sell it online. And I am almost certain nobody close will want to buy it.

More than likely not because my dress is being custom fit for my body.

I’m too sentimental. I’ll probably end up keeping mine… I said I would sell it when I first went dress shopping, but after putting it on and falling in love, I don’t think I could part with it.

I will definately be selling my gown after the wedding because I will no longer have a use for it. If I want to reminisce about it, I will just look at our wedding pictures 🙂

I had planned on selling mine from the moment I bought it especially since it was dress #2 for me and I really didn’t have the money to buy it in the first place. But now, I fear I am growing too attached 😀 I’ll have to see how I am feeling after the wedding.

I decided to wait a year and then decide whether or not to sell. Well, we are six weeks away from the one year mark and I still can’t decide! I guess since I am unsure, I will continue to keep it. It was a sample and cost $600 so I never went into the purchase thinking I would need to resell in order to recoup some money.
