I was so scared in the run up to the wedding that I couldn’t even think straight, so he got nothing from me, he surprised me by having a gift bag dropped off in the morning with:
a beautiful card telling me his hopes for the day and how happy he was to be marrying me
a cd by the singer we wanted to book but couldn’t because of tour schedules (the band we booked anyway were awesome, really made the night)
a pearl pendant and earring set which I immediately chose to wear instead of what I already had
the best gift he gave me was himself

I scanned his belated grandpa’s old boxing picture and sent it to Borrego Crafts Co. where they transfered it onto a wood fence canvas with a vintage distressed look. He got me a beautiful pair of ear rings and wrote me a sweet love letter.

We did not exchange gifts, but we did give each cards. We never even really discussed it, actually.
In my card to him, I wrote him a sentimental letter to him.

MrsBuesleBee: We are having our ring bearers deliver our letters and rings as well! We both have very young brothers (we are 16 and 18 years older than them) so it will be so special! Your gifts sound awesome btw 🙂
weatherbug: letters are a such sweet sentiment! We will be writing letters and engraving the rings
absolutely_tati: thoughtful gifts! I love stuff like that.
I get where both sides are coming from! It could be stressful trying to find the perfect gift. Thanks for the responses ladies!

FutureMrsJefferson: We did not do formal gifts but we had a sort of destination elopement with four dogs and lots of moving parts 😉 (We did write cards).

I orginially didn’t want to exchange because really us paying a ton to become husband and wife is good enough haha. but i came across some awesome baseball cufflinks that are made from game used balls for the team you request from. My FI’s life is baseball..played his whole life and now coaches high school varsity as well as clinics for younger kids..and he LOVES the mets. We will also have touches of baseball elements in our wedding so i can’t pass up giving him something like that that he will not only love, but can wear on our wedding day. i think its all up to you both and what you decide. the engraving of the rings is SO cute..i LOVE that idea!

FutureMrsJefferson: Would have been sweet if my husband didn’t lose the letter I wrote him. He claims it was in the pocket of his tux, but it’s nowhere to be found. A-hole. LOL.
