I know exactly how you feel.  You want to feel good in your dress.  Well, you LOOK great in it.  I am overweight, and am not putting a number on how many pounds to lose.  Instead of that, I’m making lifestyle changes, and if I lose weight, that’s a bonus.

I’ve started to walk, and believe me, that is making a huge difference.  The numbers aren’t changing a whole lot in lbs, but, my goodness, the inches are coming off.

Don’t pile on more pressure on yourself to lose a certain number of pounds, because if you don’t, it’ll start a whole snowball of more weight issues.  Trust me, I know.  Be kind to yourself.

Have your thyroid levels checked.

Just occasionally the reason that a person doesn’t lose weight is an underactive thyroid gland.

Other than that just keep going.  Slower weight loss means that you are more likely to keep the weight off once you have lost it.

Lovely dress by the way.

KapOct18:  I think your dress is lovely and you will look gorgeous on your wedding day as you are.

I have never been able to stick to a strict diet for long, I have no control when it comes to chocolate. However, many of my friends have tried weight watchers but have found slimming world to be much more effective for them. I have had several friends lose a stone in the first 4 weeks. I think the biggest difference for them is that on slimming world they can eat more so never feel hungry. If you do want to try losing more weight it may be worth switching.

You can do it, girl! And if you don’t lose another pound before the day – you look stunning NOW.

You look great as is but 4 months of losing 2lbs a week  is feasible if you are willing to work at it, that’s pretty close to your goal.

First of all, I think you look beautiful in your dress already. But if you’d like to lose weight I’d incorporate some strength training in with your cardio routines. Don’t be afraid that lifting weights will make you look “bigger”. Women don’t have enough testosterone in their bodies to get bulky muscles.  The more muscle you have on your body, the more calories you will burn doing everyday activities. You will also achieve that toned look you’re after – muscles are like having built in spanx. You may not lose as many pounds (but the number on the scale doesn’t really matter), but you will be more compact.

I know it’s so disheartening to want to lose that extra weight and just not being able to. I’ve been heavier most of my life, so I feel you. I have to say though, that dress is beautiful and it looks gorgeous on you! I’m not telling you to stop trying to lose weight because that’s what you want to do, but don’t push yourself to lose it before the wedding. You look beautiful no matter what. 🙂
