So DH worked battening for a little while last year after he got laid off. We hasn’t received his w2 by the 10th so I asked DH to please go down and ask a out it. They claimed that they had mailed it and to just wait. We still haven’t received it so he went down again last night and the manager said “I think we mailed it to the old address so it will get forwarded to you or if I get it. back ill let you know”…….uh?? If it was being forwarded, we would have received it by now as we moved literally 3 miles from our old address and the manager is making it seem like he can’t do anything about it… He will let us know “if” he receives it…ok so what if he doesn’t?! Any advice? I need to file DH’s taxes ASAP

The same thing is happening to my husband – he finally just got in contact with the accouting department that handles his old job and requested an electronic copy.

My old job sent it to my old address and I made them send me a new copy

Contact IRS. The employer HAS to submit it to us (I work there). OR he can use his very last paystub. But his employer really should just print one for him and give it to him rather than what they are doing now (giving him the run-around).

I work in the HR dept at my job and some ppl actually have had their w-2 sent back because of wrong address etc….see if you can get an electronic copy…or contact the IRS…they shouldnt make a big deal in giving what ur suposed to receive.
