- Wedding: May 2013 - Kempinski San Lawrenz, Gozo
We visited our photographer yesterday and booked a date for our “pre-wedding” photos. More commonly known on WB as engagement pics. He asked us if we plan to incorporate the pics we’ll be taking into the wedding decor on the big day.
He gave us some ideas, such as adding our photos to table numbers, guest-book, etc, but none of them were possible because all those things have already been ordered/bought/made.
How would you include engagement pics in the ceremony/reception decor?

You could just frame some and display at the guestbook table and stuff.

I’ve had engagement pics done, but didn’t like how they turned out (bad photographer mostly). Then again, if you already have the reception/wedding decoration items already, no need to try to sqeeze in the pictures, unless you want to put a pretty framed single picture of you two wherever the guestbook is, and maybe another at the gifts table? Just a thought.

get a canvas made up of your favourie photo/s and display at the reception entrance. Could even accompany with your love story.
Use pics for your ceremony programs.
incorporate them into your favours
get one of those room divider photo frames to put them in.

We are using our for our card box:
We also might use them to make a guest book and on a booklet of information for out-of-town guests. They are all over our wedding website.
We also have some printed that we keep on our desks and in our home.

we made a photobook of our engagement pictures that we are using for our guestbook. we also have a fireplace at our venue so i blew up our favorite picture and am putting it on the mantle.

We displayed them at the guestbook table, and in our table numbers.

We used my sister engagement pics at her bridal shower. We blew up their favorite pic & put it on an easel by the door. She loved it and is now using it next to her guest table. But that’s it. I like the idea of a pic on the program, pics on the guestbook table. But not a fan of pics on tables at the reception. Love the photobook as a guestbook.

We used them for our escort cards to make puzzle pieces. Each piece has a table number on it, and when our guests get to their tables, they can complete the puzzles to see our pics. I got the idea from another bee on here.

@Adams_bee: You could use engagement photos for a photo guest book, or display them on your gift table at your reception.

We had engagement photos as well, but none of us felt like incorporating them into the wedding. Not because they weren’t good, some of the photos were very nice – but rather because we both sort of felt as if it was “an easy way out”. While it’s far more work to incorporate the crests and floral decorations we want, it feels more us to go through that work than to print photos of ourselves trying to look relaxed in front of the camera. That said, we both think it’s nice to have the photos as a memory and we plan to frame our favourite for our home.

Ours will be used in our guestbook. I think I will probably get one on a canvas as well.

We used them as part of our pew decor!
I don’t have a picture on my phone but we alternated flower cones with 5*7 prints hung on ribbons in frames.
