I only drink diet soda. Like other ladies have said, regular tastes too sweet to me. Plus, I would rather use the 140 calories somewhere else.

I go track down the “throwback” regular sodas. The corn syrup sodas – all of them – have a sticky, sour aftertaste for me; not as bad as the artificial sweeteners in the diet ones, but less than perfect. The cane sugar versions of the popular brands are totally different sodas, and vastly preferable in my book.

I used to only drink regular, then I decided to lose weight. I couldn’t drink as much soda as I wanted to without continuing to gain weight, so my now Fiance persuaded me to try diet. I HATED the taste of it, but eventually I couldn’t taste the horrible diet taste anymore.

I read somewhere that diet soda turns in to formaldehyde in the body and is a major excitotoxin. So I am currently 1 week clean of diet soda. It was not easy, and is a daily struggle (lol), but I want to live forever… so…. I guess it is worth it.

I don’t drink soda anymore, but if I do it’s always diet.  Regular soda is too sweet and nothing but empty calories.

I’m completely addicted to diet coke. I don’t drink it because it’s diet, but because I think it tastes better.

I usually drink diet. I’d rather have a brain tumor than get fat haha. But whatever, I don’t care about the aspartame.

I grew up drinking diet soda, and regular soda really hurts my stomach.  About a year or two ago diet started to hurt my stomach too, sometimes, so I pretty much never drink it at all anymore!  I looooooove Diet Coke, though, and drink maybe a can a month or so (although once I have one can, I want more…).

Diet soda gives me migraines and I can’t really justify drinking calories from soda, so I usually just don’t drink it. If I do, I treat it like something special… Like alcohol or dessert.

Diet Pepsi/Diet Coke – I HATE the way regular Pepsi and Coke makes my teeth feel. Too sugary. I literally have brush my teeth right after.

I almost never drink soda but when I do it’s regular & I try to make it the ones with cane sugar. I just don’t feel comfortable putting artificial sugar & all the other nasty chemicals they use in the diet’s into my body. Then again, I stay away from diet anything really & just go for fresh… I’d rather have an artery clogging fresh meal/drink than the same meal/drink in diet form… Esp. if it has anything to do with splenda or aspartame…

I try to limit the amount of soda that I drink, but I prefer diet because the corn syrup in regular soda makes me feel ill if I have more than a small amount.
