@soontobesmith87:  I do everything but the juicing and have been able to maintain my (healthy) weight without exercising – though I really should get on that. Great tips!

So glad someone else wrote this! I’m not a fan of “diets”, either. The only diet that seems to be ok and that I partially follow is the paleo diet. I eat waaaay too much bread and cheese, so it kind of jacks up how many fruits and vegetables I eat, too. So while I don’t COMPLETELY follow it, I have lost a significant amount of fat. I get so tired of my friends, family and/or soldiers going on these crazy “diets”, get excited about the weight they lose, and then come back crying about the weight they lost (plus some!) coming back! Ugh…

Good post 🙂

@soontobesmith87:  I wish this was on facebook so I could like it.

I am by no means the healthiest woman, but I try to eat fairly clean. I feel so much better when I am eating healthy and not eating out all the time. Not to mention my wallet appreciates it too

Yes, yes and yes!!! My friends always bother me about why eat such small portions, but they dont realize is that I actually eat MORE than they do throughout the day! They eat every 6hrs, I eat every 2. The veggies and fruits make my skin look great and my body feel amazing!

And I LOVE cheese and burgers and pizza, and I treat myself to them, IF I’ve stuck to good eating and working out, if not then no I havent earned it! What really changed my view of eating was figuring out the equivalence of calories I was eating to how much extra work out I would have to do to burn it! Now I eat healthy, stay at a stable weight and spoil myself with a cheat meal a week, but I do have chocolate on a daily basis, have never been able to completely cut out the sugars lol

Yup I agree! Vegetables are pretty much the fountain of youth. No matter what diet you try to follow, they all include vegetables for a reason. I’m not a vegetarian or anything–I eat plenty of animal protein and eggs I’m just saying vegetables are non negotiable for health and weight loss/maintenance.

@soontobesmith87:  Trust me, it’s not NEARLY as hard as you think. I ate cheese and bread with EVERY MEAL I COULD! LOL. But now….maybe once every couple of days. Just try it and see what happens. 😉

@soontobesmith87:  Trust me, I know. 😉  I’m just better at controlling my food intake than motivating myself to exercise.
