I’m doing a different bouquet too, I think that is kind of the norm. My girls have plum dresses and their bouquets are primarily lavendar/plum with pops of white, and mine is primarily WHITE with pops of plum!

Can’t wait to see them!

I think it looks great.

My bouquet will be white with some yellow and green.
My MOH’s will be white and yellow with some green
My BMs’ will be yellow with a bit of white and some green.

The boutineeres will match the bouquets.

I think it’s fine but I would be carefull about adding in new colours that don’t appear anywhere else… it may not look coherent.

As long as all flowers go with your color scheme or theme then its a non issue.

I kind of expect the bride’s bouquet to be different–not sure why that would be tacky? My BMs will have white bouquets and mine will be pink.

Yes it is acceptable and actually most brides do have a more punchy and different bouquet than her bridesmaids. I am DIYing my flowers from BloomsByTheBox.com 🙂 I just wanted to let you know, there are no such thing as “teal flowers.” They aren’t natural, but if you do want “teal” you will have to have a florist, or if you DIY, dip-dye white flowers into floral paint to get that specific color for you. So it will end up costing you more money.

My bouquet was different than my BMs’. My Maid/Matron of Honor was supposed to have the same colour as the girls, but hers ended up looking like mine, by accident.

@smallspartan:  yes it’s ok.. My bridesmaids dresses were plum. My dress was ivory.. I chose to have my girls flowers be ivory because I wanted the flowers to stand out With their dresses..Also my wedding colors were deep purple and ivory.. My bouquet was shades of purple and ivory.. Pics included.

@LilLis:  just make sure if your florist recreates the bouquets to make sure the orange is evenly placed in the bouquet. i have some photos where its just a mass of purple and a slight tint of orange roses pokin out… i wished i would have seen my florist when she drop the flowers off so if i could have her fix some of it..

Totally acceptable, in fact I prefer the variation.

Here are mine:

I would say different bouquets are okay,, but I wouldn’t necessarily add random colors if they aren’t included somewhere else in your wedding. My bouquet is completely different from my girls, but goes along with the same general color scheme of lavender and lime
