My Fiance knew that I don’t wear gold jewlery, so when he got my e-ring he bought white gold. It is beautiful and I think he did an amazing job.
He wants to have a gold wedding band. He was thoughtful and got me what I wanted, but I soo don’t want him to have gold because I think it will look weird in the pictures.
Please tell me I am completely wrong — I want him to get what he wants because he always listens to my wishes.

@bestwishes: He’s got to wear it every day of his life so if he wants gold, let him have gold.
It doesn’t look bad to have different colour rings from your spouse.

I understand how you feel, but I don’t think anyone will notice and it’s all about what you like on yourself. SO really likes the look of tungsten and yellow gold (the two tone) whereas I really like platinum/white gold. Remember.. the heart wants what the heart wants… when it comes to jewelry 🙂

you both are right
I know it is silly of me to think like that and I want him to have what he wants — like SpecialSundae said he will wear it everday.
Thanks for the pep talk 🙂

My wedding band is white gold & my husband’s is tungsten. They don’t match at all & I don’t even notice them in pictures. I can see where you would think yellow gold might stand out more- BUT also he has to wear it forever so keep that in mind too! I don’t think its weird to have mismatching bands at all either & actually I see it ALOT more than one would think!
Here is my husband’s band which is alot darker than mine:

@bestwishes: I totally understand, but I also know that if I had to wear something I wasn’t mad on for the rest of my life I’d be a bit miffed.
I think different coloured rings can look lovely together, though.

- Wedding: August 2013 - An amazing non-profit retreat
We chose yellow gold, but I do have my days (like today) where I wish we had chosen white gold to match ALL of my other jewelry. Now I have to have expensive taste and have yellow gold everything.
If it’s important to you to have matching bands, let him know. I love the look of it, but wedding bands can also symbolize your individuality.

Darling Husband and I are opposite mismatched colors. I have YG and he has titanium, so it’s silver/grey. It did NOT look bad in pictures so please don’t worry about it. He’s gotta wear it forever, so why not let him get what he likes?

@sherryberry-I mentioned it and he agreed, but I want him to get what he wants .. I just needed a talk before we go look at them 🙂
@JessicaVictoria814-i want him to get what he likes, thanks for reassuring me about the pictures
