The Groom and I have recently started looking at wedding bands. My e ring is a solitaire in a platinum band. I’ve tried on both platinum and white gold wedding rings with it – do you think it matters if the metals are different? One jeweler told me the metals wear differently so that might be noticeable at some point…but considering I like diamond eternity bands where you can barely see the metal, I’m thinking this doesn’t matter. What do you all think? I’d love your input!

@karengoblue:using 2 different metals will damage one or both of your rings over time unless they are soldered together. They will spin and bang against one another and the harder of the two metals will make the softer one look pretty beat up in not a lot of time. I found this out because I really want a plain yellow gold band but my e-ring is palladium and my jeweler said that this is a bad idea. 🙁
