We plan to order our invitations and RSVP cards from Wedding Paper Divas. I have a sample of the design we like on paper called Pearl White Shimmer, which is very pretty. However, when I tried writing on the RSVP card using two kinds of ink, the ink smeared even when I let it dry for 15 minutes. So, is it tacky to have the invitation on the pretty sparkly pearl paper, and the RSVP card on matte paper? At least the ink wouldn’t run on matte paper. Or should I get both invitation and RSVP cards on matte paper? Thoughts?
Thanks for any advice!!

i think it would be fine to have two different ones. as long as it wasnt like copy paper, i think it would be fine.

@Astra: I am fine with the RSVP being a different paper.

I had four different types of paper stock in my invite suite- it’s fine/in no way tacky. (I used to be a graphic designer, and the mixing worked really well)

@Astra: Not tacky at all, and your reason makes so much sense. 🙂

Astra: Im asking everyone to call their RSVP in. This way they can do it as soon as they get the invite rather then remembering to send it back?! Maybe do an RSVP sticker with the invite for ppl to put on their calenders?! I think talking to ppl would be easyer and they can ask any questions when they call because you have given them an open invitation to call you or a person you have chosen?.. Mine is my Future Mother-In-Law who will have a list and notes of any questions she cant answer and ill call them back.
