hi bees! this is my first post and i’m very thankful for all the useful information i have found on this board! i was hoping you bees could help me out!
I was wondering what your opinions are on your Save-The-Date Cards and Invites matching? My FH and I are going to have a 50s Rock ‘N Roll theme wedding at a local small concert venue. So my original idea was to do a rock poster invite (ex: http://tinyurl.com/ygrps4y) but then I got the idea to do the reception as more of a 50s diner feel.
So do you think an STD of the rock poster would be ok then do the invites, menus, programs etc with more of a retro art deco look? Or should I stay consistant? Is it one or the other?!
Sorry for the ramble and thanks in advance for any ideas and opinions!

Honestly…. not many people will probably think to compare your STD with your invite 🙂 Unless maybe you are sending both to an engaged person who is as wedding-obsessed as we are! heh. Anyways, I think that you can totally switch now. Sounds like a fun wedding!

It’s definitely OK to use different themes! My Save-The-Date Cards and invites were two totally different feels!

I think the varied styles will make more people want to come! I think it will generate more interest!
Both sound so cute and I love that poster std!

I think people won’t notice that they are different and wil probably like that they are different!

I think it is just fine to use separate themes! We printed a very simple STD, and our invites will be completely different!

@may2011bride i think your STD will be perfect with your website since photo booths are retro! are you going to make your images black & white?
