I believe I’ve seen another bride somewhere who did this. It looked great! I don’t have pictures, or remember where I saw it, but it looked like a totally feasible idea. Maybe someone else saw it too.

I think it would work great, as long as you fastened it down into the grass/sand area!! =) Which could be easily done with some metal/plastic camping tent type stakes!

I think it’s a good idea. I’m not sure of the mechanics of it, but I think it could look really nice.

You may want to also consider burlap as fabric for the aisle runner if the beach mats don’t work out.

There was a bride on CL that did this and her pick showed it worked great. She used large t pins to hold it down.

I’ve seen a pic of an aisle “runner” with stepping stones/tiles. It was cute, different and worked on grass.

I think you idea will work if you secure them like you are thinking.
