We had a cupcake tower but we had a small cake made so we could cut it. It had kissing fish made of fondant on top.  I thought it worked out amazingly since our colour (Guava/coral) was a hard one to match.

Ours was buttercream with varying layers of chocolate cake with raspberry filling and vanilla cake with hazlenut cream. It was really good, lol!
