I wrote another post about the dress I love.
However, the first time I went to look at dresses my Fiance and his mom came. I had went with the intention of just ‘getting a feel’ for dresses, and didn’t think I’d have any clue what I liked. I wanted to get his ‘general opinion’ about what he thought was gorgeous on me.
But it became quite clear which dress was perfect.
Will the day still be a surprise? He said he loved this dress. I haven’t told him I picked it, and tried to act nonchalant as if none of those dresses would be the one.
I’m soo scared. I want him to tear up when he sees me, and fall in love all over again. Have I ruined that? eek! Help please!

I think it’ll still be a surprise! You’re going to look totally different on your wedding day. Your hair will be done, makeup done, the dress will be altered properly… I wouldn’t worry. 🙂

Totally agree with BlueShoes – he’ll likely have already forgotten (men… funny creatures) and you’ll look like a new woman with the whole package! He’ll love it!

I agree, Hes seen the dress, and you in the dress, but not you walking down the aisle with in all your glory! It will still be a show stopper.

i have showed pics of me in my dress to my Fiance 100 times and i am not at all worried that he won’t be think i look beautiful and special on our day. he probably will not remember every detail. i think u are fine!

Also, I mean, he’s a guy and you tried on a bunch of white dresses. He might remember he liked the dress, but not really any specific details about it.

If he said he loves the dress and you love the dress – it’s the dress! Regardless if he has seen you in it once before, that day will be very emotional and FILLED with love, surprises, and excitement. And besides (as Blueshoes2 wisely stated), when he saw you in the dress you probably weren’t wearing your bridal accessories, shoes, veil, make-up, etc… Believe me, the complete package looks a lot different than a trial or fitting!
By no means have you ruined that moment and if he does remember that dress it may be even more meaningful that you valued and internalized his opinion.

Thank you thank you!!!
lol, what worried me most was he drew the dress to show me which one he liked best. I had thought that he wouldn’t remember the lacing and details, but he remembered everything about it. (we’re both artists, so it often surprises me the care he takes in detail)
But you’re right, I don’t ever wear makeup or jewelry usually, so on that day he’ll be surprised to find out I’m wearing makeup and earrings, lol.
Anyways, I’m super excited to order it, I hope it comes out right. I’m concerned as I can’t find any pics of dresses that look like they’ve been made with a sleeve, and I’m asking them to do that.
*sigh* is all wedding planning this nerve wracking? lol
