- Wedding: February 2013
Heres a background of my dilemma. We are having about 100 guests. Our ceremony which starts at 5 and cocktail hour at 530 with the reception starting at 630. The entire wedding will be held at a museum & gardens. The acutal art exhibits will stay open till 9 and the cocktail hour & reception is out in the gardens. We are having multiple action stations spread around the seating area. We are having a photobooth and 2 candy buffets. We really want people to mingle and take a gander around the venue, so my dilemma is, must we have seats for every single person? We are having table with seating for about 70 guests and highboys for 30 guests. Do you think this is enough seating? Also, on the tables with seating, would it be a waste to put charger plates so the tables do not look empty? Our event coordinator says that most people will be socializing more and there are more than enough things to do and to look at. What do you think?
