The ring is a size 5 but it is really big. My finger is a size 4.5. This is an awful picture of my ring, but I am too lazy to retake it.

As a non-American this thread is absolutely useless for giving me a reference of size, haha. You might as well have asked me to put a bald eagle on my wrist ๐Ÿ˜€

@MsPrivateFish:  LOL! Exactly! ๐Ÿ™‚

I think dime size reference is a great idea for Americans but I know that when I see size reference pictures with a dime I always go “ughhh… yeah, that’s not helping, how big is a dime anyway?”

@Diamondgurl:  I gather that in America, a dime reference is a popular way to get an idea about the size of smaller items such as rings, bracelet charms, etc., from a picture. I see lots of pictures like that on Etsy.

@Diamondgurl:  There was another thread talking about finger size and how you cant tell in pictures so someone mentioned pics witha dime and I chimed in that they should start a dime reference thread and here we are, lol!

I should play right? LOL!

Here’s my .95 carat eqivalent morganite solitaire engagement ring, size 7

And here is my 2+ carat equivalent morganite halo with .5 carats of white sapphires …I guess you can call it a stand in, size 7

I know the stand in is bigger than the ering but the proposed with that ring and the bigger one doesnt feel right, it’s a bit too big and….it’s not the one that he held up and asked me to marry him with. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ring size falls anywhere between 4-4.5 depending on how cold the weather is. Engagement Ring is sized 4.5 with a 1 carat center stone.

Nothing like taking hand photos to showcase how dirty diamonds can get, yuck.

Here’s mine! Ring size 4.75. Not sure exactly about the center stone of my halo, as it’s an heirloom, but we think around 0.75.
